Rolex datejust 1601 two-tone linen dial from 1971

Rolex has been the most popular brand in watchmaking for many decades now. Their most popular lines being the Datejust and the Oyster Perpetual are the more affordable options and are the perfect choice for a first luxury watch. These timeless watches wear extremely comfortable and are sporty yet classy all at once. To put it simple: You can’t go wrong with a Rolex!

This Rolex datejust was made in 1971 and runs on the famous and sturdy 1575 automatic movement made in-house by Rolex. This 36mm stainless steel oyster case features a yellow gold fluted bezel, a gold screw down crown and a screwdown caseback we are used to seeing on oyster cases. Inside the case sits a gorgeous champagne pie pan linen dial without any lume plots. The dial also features applied stick markers and of course the famous Rolex crown in yellow gold. This watch comes on a brown leather strap with a gold plated buckle. The condition of this watch is excellent, with some minor damage on the dial where the dial meets the case at the 6 and 12 position.

What we love:

  • Beautiful champagne linnen dial
  • Yellow gold fluted bezel

What you should know:

  • Minor damage on the dial where the dial meets the case at the 6 and 12 position
